2024 Wellness Therapy Fund

Studies consistently show that Asian Americans are less likely to seek mental health treatment compared to other racial/ethnic groups in the United States. Cultural stigma, lack of awareness about mental health issues, and barriers such as language, lack of culturally competent providers, financial constraints, and limited awareness of available resources contribute to disparities in mental health care utilization and outcomes.

In collaboration with Community of Asian American Therapists in Chicagoland (CAATCH), NAAAP hopes to help bridge these barriers by providing the means for our AAPI community to access culturally sensitive and linguistically appropriate approaches to care. This fund helps low-income and marginalized families in our community get access to needed mental health services. Donate today!
