ABOUT US
THE SAMPAGUITA GROUP was founded as a non-profit organization by women who wanted to increase the number of Filipino American women graduating from college.

Our mission is to heighten awareness about Educational Downward Mobility—a phenomenon that has negatively affected second-generation (U.S.-born) Filipino Americans for decades.

Since our founding, in 2015, we have built a wide community of supporters who come together throughout the year to forge friendships, celebrate heritage, and raise funds. These funds are used to financially assist outstanding Filipino American women matriculated at colleges and universities in the United States. By this year’s Sampaguita Ball, we will have awarded more than $15,000 in partial college scholarships to Filipino American women matriculated in colleges and universities in the United States.

By investing in higher education we hope to increase the number of Filipino American women college graduates and their opportunities for lifelong success.
