It has been a meaningful journey, and we're thrilled to continue fostering personal and professional growth through this initiative. Whether you're interested in being a mentor or a mentee, our program offers valuable opportunities for learning, networking, and mutual support. CALLING FOR MENTORS
Are you an experienced professional with five or more years of work under your belt? Do you find joy in helping others learn and grow? If so, we invite you to become a mentor and use your personal and professional experiences to make a positive impact on the Asian-American professional community. As a mentor, you will receive personalized coaching and ongoing support throughout the program. You'll also get the chance to improve your coaching skills for leaders, identify and leverage your strengths to boost your own professional development, connect with other Asian-American professionals, and receive valuable feedback from your mentee. Are you looking to advance your career? Join our mentoring program and get matched with a mentor who can provide you with valuable insights into your industry and institutions. Your mentor will be selected based on your specific needs for professional development. You'll also have the opportunity to connect with other Asian-American professionals in a more intimate setting, receive support, and learn from their experiences. - Virtual Mid-way Checkin: Wednesday, 18 June 2025 @ 6PM CST

NOTE: Participants should be able to commit to meeting a minimum of 3 times with their mentor/mentee throughout the program.

PROGRAM CURRICULUM DESIGN AND COACHES
Jennifer Kim
Organizational Psychologist | Expert in Work and Health Equity
Jennifer is an organizational psychologist with a strong focus on advancing work and health equity. Her research integrates evidence-based practices and frameworks to address critical issues such as the impact of workplace microaggressions and the development of interventions at the individual, team, and organizational levels. Currently, as the Principal Investigator at the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development, her initiatives are aimed at fostering inclusivity and representation in drug development and medical science.
Jennifer holds a PhD in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, where her work emphasized the intersection of psychology and organizational dynamics. In addition, she has earned a Certificate in Leadership Coaching for Organizational Well-being from George Mason University, which complements her expertise in enhancing leadership effectiveness and fostering healthy organizational cultures.
Tyng Kam
Certified Career Coach | Career Development Programming Expert
Tyng holds an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago and brings over 20 years of professional experience across multinational companies, higher education institutions, and start-ups. She has led and built sales teams and guided organizations through major transition periods. This diverse background has helped her develop strong business acumen and design learning programs that effectively bridge the gap between education and real-world business environments.
As a certified Master of Career Services (CMCS) and member of the National Career Development Association (NCDA), Tyng has logged over 4,000 hours in her practice as a career coach. Her expertise goes beyond one-on-one coaching; she is also a seasoned career development programming expert, with experience at Stride K12, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and InternshipDesk.
