The Coalition for a Better Chinese American Community unites the resources of member organizations and individual members to empower Chinese American communities in Greater Chicago. As a coalition of member organizations and individuals, CBCAC carries out its mission through civic education, community planning, and civic leadership training.

At this year’s annual dinner, CBCAC is proud to honor leaders and partners who exemplify the spirit of protecting our Sanctuary.

CBCAC is honoring State Representative Theresa Mah with the inaugural Trailblazer Award for leading the way in advocacy for immigrant communities; Organized Communities Against Deportation (OCAD) with the Impact Award for their work protecting immigrant rights; Lakeside Bank with the Chinatown Partner Award, for their steadfast support of small businesses and community cultural celebrations; and Alan Luu with the Youth Excellence Award for his inspiring leadership in Origin and Teen Coalition for Chicago.
