As our world becomes increasingly multicultural, our ability to navigate across complexity and differences has become a crucial skill for all professionals.  Whether we pursue our careers domestically or internationally, our ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and respecting those from cultures and mindsets different from our own, is the hallmark of inclusion and the foundation to cultivating cultures of belonging across organizations everywhere.  Join Cecilia Lui as she shares lived experiences, perspectives and insights on why intercultural competency is an important component of diversity & inclusion by shining a light on the following:

Special Guest Speaker...

Cecilia Lui ...
is the Founder & Director of ILIA Connect and brings 30+ years of cross-sector and industry experience and has worked for multinationals in Canada & the Asia Pacific across corporate administration, communications, business development and L&D.  Originally from Hong Kong with a Canadian upbringing, Cecilia is skilled at applying her east-west perspectives across all disciplines of her work in consulting, coaching, training, mentoring and teaching.


After nearly two decades abroad, Cecilia moved back to Canada during the pandemic for family reasons.  Since her relocation in 2020, Cecilia has expanded her global reach in her work supporting organizations and professionals in perplexing employee and workplace issues that are often at the intersectionality of communication, people and culture.  Cecilia holds an MA in Communications from the California State University and is a seasoned mentor and internship host to students.  She is also a Sustainability Development Goals Global Ambassador and an instructor at McMaster University Continuing Education for their Intercultural Competency Program.  As a trainer and conference presenter, Cecilia has taken her work to countries across Asia, Europe and N. America.  Cecilia is also a member of the NAAAP Speaker Bureau..
