We’re on a mission to empower everyone to create for the web, by building the world’s most powerful no-code development platform. "So You Wanna Know About Data Engineering" by Siobhan Sabino, Webflow Lead Data Engineer

Talk Abstract: Data Engineering is a relatively new title, with many companies defining it differently or not even sure how to define it at all. Is it DevOps meets DBA? Is it the same as being a Data Analyst? What’s a Scala and why do people have so many opinions on it? In this talk, Siobhán will go over how she became a data engineer, what that means, and what the tools and skills are that make it different from other roles. Whether you want to become a data engineer or just understand better what it means, now you’ll know the DE secrets.

"Be Your Biggest Fan: A Guide on How to Self Advocate" by Katie Fujihara, Webflow Software Engineer

Talk Abstract: It's no secret that folks who are part of underrepresented groups have a harder time getting noticed and promoted compared to their similarly performing colleagues. As someone who entered tech two years ago as an apprentice software engineer, Katie will go over how she has had to become her biggest advocate to gain visibility that ultimately led to two promotions and what she has learned along the way.
