SPRING SERIES 2: This is the second in a triad of Spring TALKS in April!

Meet two Asian American women in AgTech—Amy Wu, an award-winning writer who covers the industry. Wu will soon release her latest publication, From Farms to Incubators: Women Entrepreneurs Revolutionizing How Our Food Is Grown. We'll also chat with Ponsi Trivisvavet, CEO of Inari, a company shaking up plant breeding technology. They will share the latest in farming technology and tell us about the women entrepreneurs making inroads in the space that helps to feeds the world.

 

AMY WU

Amy Wu is an award-winning writer for the women’s ag and agtech movement.

She is the Creator and Chief Content Director of From Farms to Incubators, a multimedia platform that uses documentary, video, photography, and the written word to tell the stories of women leaders and innovators in agtech. It has a mission of highlighting women in food, farming, and farmtech, especially women of color. In 2020 Amy was named on Worth magazine’s “Groundbreakers 2020 list of 50 Women Changing the World” list. She was also a recipient of the Women in Agribusiness Demeter Award of Excellence.

Prior to starting From Farms to Incubators, Amy spent over two decades as an investigative reporter at media outlets including the USA Today Network where she reported on agriculture and agtech for The Salinas Californian. In 2021 she was named by Food Tank as one of “27 Inspiring Women Reshaping the Food System.”

 

PONSI TRIVISVAVET

Ponsi Trivisvavet is CEO and Director of Inari, a biotech seed company using predictive design and advanced multiplex gene editing. Ponsi has broad expertise in global agriculture as well as extensive management skill in the seeds business.

Prior to joining Inari, she held a number of leadership roles at Syngenta, most recently as president of Syngenta Seeds North America. Before Syngenta, she held positions with McKinsey & Company.

Ponsi holds an MBA from Cornell University.
